Being in a Nazarene & Christian University, I figured this application was a pretty good topic.
It's important to be reminded to worship & think about God, especially for those of us who are forgetful.
This application does exactly that. It reminds you of God with inspirational verses, etc.
You can set reminders every 5 min, 10 min, or 15 min.
This app is a buzzer which reminds you to adore Him, and it also gives you a new bible verse to think about every time you start the app. It currently costs 99 cents

 

I tend to think every 15 minutes is a bit much. It would get more annoying for me, if the application was every hour I think it'd be a better match for me. But then again, maybe we do need to be reminded every 5 minutes.

What do you guys think? Is this something you would use?

Doctor Oz Grocery List

This is such a fun application! Everyone knows Dr. Oz, what a great guy! But sometimes we can't all remember the things he says, or the foods he recommended. This is where the Doctor Oz Grocery List comes in. It's a grocery list mobile app all based on the top 100 foods that Dr. Oz recommends. :)
This application is only availbale for iPods & iPads currently, & costs $1.99

I'm thinking this is something I really wouldn't pay for, but what do you think? Would the healthy benefits outweigh the cost? Would you use this?

A useful tool in any student's arsenal is a good calculator. This application gives the user access to a full featured calculator that has many different functions that aren't available on the stock calculator for android. Some of the features that are included are:

Having a calculator that is capable of performing different tasks, such as log, is important in many different classes, and not every calculator does that. The best part of this application is that there are two versions, one that is free and one that is a donation version. Personally I will add this application to my collection for emergencies where I accidentally forget my calculator in my room. Would you use this application?

Salon Monster

This is an interesting app i stumbled upon. This is for every day users, but is highly efficient for salons or hair stylists!
It's an online booking kind of program, that the salons update & the clients can access as well.
One of the cool things about this is you can access 24 hours, so even if the salon is closed.Clients can create accounts & that makes booking easy, you don't have to fill in the same information every time you book. This application looks clean & is really a great efficiency application for any hair stylist. I don't think this will replace the old appointment system, but it definitely adds to the efficiency, especially when it comes to the client.

This application starts off free, for under 50 clients and for one stylist, as your clientele increases the price goes up. for $19 you can get up to 500 clients for one stylist, and the 'basic plan' is $49 for up to 5 stylists, allows 2,500 clients and adds some cool multi-stylist calenders. The value plan is $69 & allows up to 10 stylists & unlimited clients. the max plan allows unlimited stylists & unlimited clients for $99. This is soemthing that I think salons should look into, maybe not go with the max but at least try it out & see how it works.
